The system securely accepts both TCP and HTTP connections.

With built in 512 bit encryption, users can work remotely without any security concerns. The Enterprise VFC client is completely firewall transparent, allowing users to take their office with them anywhere they go, transforming any office into a virtual office.

The Enterprise VFC server can interconnect to all major database vendors such as Microsoft SQL, DB2, Oracle, MySQL and can use them as data stores for the system. A connector layer permits seamless information sharing with systems such as SAP, Oracle and others, Administration and licensing is fully web-based, making system management a simple task.

In order to improve data redundancy, the file server implements a hot swappable USB disk mirroring technique. Storage depots are added in pairs of 2 USB disks. The pair consists of a primary disk and a backup disk. Any data stored in the primary disk is mirrored to the backup disk. If either of the disks fail! the system automatically switches to the healthy disk, notifies the administrator to replace the defective device and then proceeds to rebuild its contents. Furthermore each depot pair is configured to operate within a free space threshold. When the threshold is reached the data will automatically overflow to the next defined pair.

A browser based suite of administration tools make system management a snap. The administrator can easily configure installed services, optimize storage depots, manage users groups & teams, organize and search file transfer activities, as well as download server updates.

The Enterprise VFC server cluster is made up of a collection of back end components. Each cluster component is fully scalable allowing the system to be easily expanded as user demands increase. The core of the system is composed of:

•  distribution server - manages load balancing and client connections

•  application server – interacts with connected clients and offers connectivity to other Enterprise VFC components

•  database server –manages database connections from all Enterprise VFC server components.

•  file server – manages mirrored depot storage pairs
